Akashic Record Reading
Meaning 'ethers', or ‘that which holds all’, Akashic record healing can be likened to a celestial mirror, reflecting our choices and desires, and how these choices have impacted us. Learning to access and unlock our Akashic records can help us address our mental and emotional imbalances, and to manage them becoming physical manifestations (i.e. pain or illness).
What is Akashic Record Reading?
During an Akashic record reading, you may expect to see visuals, sounds, colours, movie clips like snapshots, or you may receive nothing. There’s no thinking; the information will just come. The practitioner will initially guide you through grounding techniques, prayer, and how to open your mind in order to receive universal guidance.
History
Akashic records can be seen as a heavenly library containing all information past, present, and future, with the root Sanskrit word akasha meaning sky or ether in Indian cosmology. Whilst there is not one concise definition as to what the Akashic records are, various perspectives agree with them originating from the written foundations of the Mesopotamian idea of divine knowing and human awareness as being intertwined with sacred, divine motion. In the late 1800s, the religion of Theosophy, and the spiritual movement of Anthroposophy introduced the Akashic records into their practice, believed to be a compendium of all universal events, thoughts, words, emotions and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future in terms of all entities and life forms, not just human. Because it is believed that the records are encoded vibrationally into the inherent fabric of space, some have likened the mechanism as similar to how holograms are created.
